Philip M. Hamer
Philip is a screenwriter and former Personal Trainer from the South Wales tropics. A childhood in a poor mining town was followed by a career training people with huge kitchens in the big city, and this has given Philip a razor sharp perspective on class, capitalism and social issues. These themes resonate through his scripts, and while the horrors of hyper-capitalism may not SOUND funny, Philip insists, often to an emptying room, that the best way to frame the injustices raining down on the working class is through comedy.
When he’s not ranting about pernicious societal issues, Philip is lifting weights or eating cake. He once tried to do all three at the same time but this put one elderly passer by into the fracture clinic and two more into long term counselling. Philip would like to wish them well in their recoveries.
